In my speech about fried chicken, I realized that i said the words,"you know what i'm saying" a lot. I don't believe that it was a good speech. I could've given a lot more detail. The details I gave were good , but I they weren't good enough details to close my speech on.
I also saw that I projected my voice pretty well. As my classmates know, I love to talk and I am sort of a loud individual. When it comes to giving speeches, being loud is great. Also in my speech, I believe that I could've came up with a better topic.
I mean fried chicken is all good and dandy, but i think that I could've been more creative like my fellow classmates. My speech was longer than the necessary time, but that is because I said "uh" a lot.
If you ever give a speech make sure you have these three important things: great detail, a great topic, and minimize the "uh's" and "you know what im saying". Altogether, my speech could've been a lot better.

Devin Hester and Under Armour
I'm pretty sure everyone knows what the brand "Under Armour" is. But for those of you who don't, it is a brand of very popular sports apparel. Under Armour was founded as KP sports in 1996. It was founded by former University of Maryland special teams captain Kevin Plank and a former University of Maryland lacrosse player Kip Fulks. They began their business in the basement of Plank's grandmother. Devin Hester, a Chicago Bears wide receiver, endorses this product in comercials and ads. not only does Under Armour produce shoes, but they produce other athletic gear such as: athletic clothing, posters, etc. Devin Hester is a great endorser for the product. Many people from around the world look up to Devin Hester and when they see wht he is wearing, they believe it will make them perform like him. This endorsement has been successful for both parties. Not only is Under Armour selling their own products, but Devin Hester is getting paid for endorsing it. The success is going both ways. I read this article at http://www.playingfieldpromotions.com/athletes-endorsements.php. I agree with what it is saying becaus eit says that consumers are more likely to buy products endorsed by athletes than product not endorsed. Under Armour is a great brand and needs to continue to sell its products for many years to come.

Response To Jake's Post
In Jake's Post he says that he doesn't understand why Gatorade would use Tiger Woods as endorsement help. Well I used to wonder the same thing until, just like Jake, I figured out that endorsements don't use the sport as a way to attract customers, they use the athletes. Athletes have a big role in the advertising of Gatorade products and others such as Nike, under armour, Hanes, and Campbell's products. Athletes that set a good example for young people and adults are most likely to be used in the ads. For example, Donovan McNabb and his role in Campbell's soup products. Donovan McNabb is a great role model for children. Not only are children eating the product, but adults are as well. Another example would be Devin Hester and Under armour. Devin Hester helps advertise football gear and a lot of people seemed to have bought the product he is helping to advertise. You want to know why? Because he is a great athlete and a lot of people want to get to where he is at in life, which means being successful in sports. Not only does Devin Hester make the products look like they are helpful, but he also makes them look good. So it's not the sports that these commercials want, it's the role model athletes.

When it comes to preparing a meal that you will enjoy, you have to think about what combination foods you love best. I'm going to take you through the steps to preparing a meal for myself. First, I would go to the store. When I got there, I would think about the main food group i would want to eat most. It would definitely be pork steaks. Then I would look for vegetables which in my opinion would definitely be cream corn. And finally, my last side dish would be sweet rice. When I get home, I would start up my fryer first. I would set it too 375 degrees. While it is preheating, I will season my pork steaks nicely and put them in a bag full of flower so they can flour up. When the grease is done preheating, I will begin to set my pork steaks in slowly. While my pork steaks are cooking, I will start cooking my rice and cream corn. I will set my cream corn in a pot and my rice in another pot. After I finish my side dishes, I will keep the temperature low and stir occasionally. When my pork steaks are nice and brown then I am finished. When I clean up, I usually wipe off the table and put the dishes away. After I finish eating I am stuffed and very satisfied. I disagree because Americans can eat what they love. Just because people eat what they like doesn't mean that it doesn't have nutritional value. Most foods have a great nutritional value. If people chose a burger for dinner that's their choice. After eating the meal, I would feel great. I have eaten what I love and no one can tell me that I ate something with no nutritional value. The link I have chosen is a link to a betty crocker website. It shows multiple recipes that hve fats in them and yet people still cook it and people still eat it. It just show that just because someone says that something is nonhealthy, people don't care and everyone is still going to eat it no matter what.
